CONSIDERATION OF PHD DISSERTATION WORK AT CERN

PhD student of Georgian Technical University (GTU) Niko TSUTSKIRIDZE presented results of his 6 months research program at CERN. Presentation with its title “Development of Loop for ATLAS Simulation Packages” represents results of formalization of unique cases of ATLAS detector geometry. This work is part of investigation of simulation loop quality by checking dimension, from and positioning inaccuracies. 7 steps of typisation have been done. As a result 74 unique geometrical structures of ATLAS detector have been separated (Download presentation here …). Niko TSUTSKIRIDZE is 3rd year PhD student at GTU. He won Georgian National Scientific Foundation grant for 6 month research at CERN. His statement at CERN was financially supported by GTU as well.
